MINISTRIES AND PROGRAMS:

OUR PARISH
Nativity provides numerous opportunities for people to gather for
sharing fellowship, building community, offering support and nurturing
friendships.  Nativity also provides space for groups to meet at very
reasonable rates.

Altar Guild
Altar Guild members prepare our altar each week for the service.  For
many, this becomes a meaningful ritual.  The Altar Guild members are
divided into three teams rotating monthly throughout the year.  Each has a
leader who is responsible for training new members and scheduling.

Adult Bible Study
Adult education thrives at Nativity, with groups studying the Bible, liturgy,
spirituality and contemporary theological, social and pastoral issues.
Parishioners often offer classes on topics of their particular interest and
expertise.

Book Club
The book club meets monthly from fall through spring to discuss books
the group chooses.  Books often, but not always, have religious content.

Chalice Bearers & Lectors
Chalice Bearers assist at the alter during regular service when it comes
time to distribute the Eucharistic Elements (the bread and wine).  This
important role requires training; all confirmed members of the parish are
welcome to join.  Similarly central to our worship, Lectors read the Holy
Scriptures as well as lead the congregation in prayers.  Both roles are an
invaluable part the service.

Choir and Music
Nativity has a small but committed choir; all are welcome to join.
Additionally, anyone with instrumental talent is most welcome to
contribute to our services.  The choir sings at the 10:30 AM service and
practices once a week before that service.  In the summer, when we have
one 9:30 AM service, the choir gathers more casually.

Lay Care
Our lay care committee ensures that we remember and aid those
community members in special need.

Lay Weeders
Nativity’s grounds are maintained by our members.  We have beautiful
gardens in the front of the church.  For those who enjoy working outside,
Nativity’s landscaping is a labor of true love.  Gardening experience is not
necessary; our veteran members are happy to teach new hands to help
out.
