ART AT NATIVITY

In Our Sanctuary.  As with Outreach, art is a central part of
Nativity’s identity.  Throughout our history, Nativity has
celebrated art in numerous ways.  We incorporate art into our
liturgy - often community members create visual works to
enhance our worship space.  We incorporate art into our
prayer - in our prayer corner, anyone may tie a ribbon to a
woven picture that changes with the liturgical seasons.  

Festival of the Arts.  For many years, we have held a
Festival of the Arts in which we invite artists to submit work for a
juried show.  The Festival is open to the public to view and
purchase art.  Usually the Festival spotlights a featured artist
and offers a demonstration of some kind.  Click here to visit our

ARTIST OF THE MONTH.  Currently, we have an Artist of the
Month program, displaying an artist’s works in our sanctuary.  
Many of the artists, though not all, who display their works
come from our own ranks.
