CELEBRATIONS

Baptism.
Sundays when we have a baptism are special, for baptisms
are joyful celebrations of life and God’s love.  When we witness a
baptism, we are reminded that we are all God’s children.  A newly
baptized person is sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked as Christ’s
own for ever.  A person may be baptized at any age.  For more
information about scheduling a baptism or to learn more about the
Sacrament of Baptism please contact the Parish Office or plan a visit
with our Vicar.

Confirmation.  Confirmation is a time to express a mature affirmation
of faith in Christ.  In the Episcopal church, it is not a prerequisite for
receiving communion. For information about participating in a
Confirmation class or to learn more about the process, please contact
the Parish Office or plan a visit with our Vicar.

Funerals.  The death of a loved one is a difficult time; our Vicar is
available for pastoral care.  Services vary in formality depending on
the wishes of the deceased’s family.  For more information about pre-
planning a funeral service or to learn more about funerals at Nativity,
please contact the Parish Office to schedule a visit with our Vicar.
She will help you create a meaningful service.

Weddings.  The wedding of two people is a joyful and sacred event.
At Nativity, our goal is to help make your ceremony a blessed and
meaningful experience.  Nativity is available as a place for a wedding
service only, or for both ceremony and reception.  Marriages thrive
when they are nourished in a community.  Now and in the future, the
Nativity community invites you to find support for your relationship in a
loving and compassionate community.  For more information about
weddings at Nativity, please contact the Parish Office or plan a visit
with our Vicar.
